Experience:
Prior to joining Kenworthy's Chambers in 2002, Denise worked as a magistrates' legal adviser at Dorset and Lancashire Magistrates' Courts.
She studied the Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law as a Queen Mother's Scholar.
Criminal practice:
Denise undertakes a wide range of Crown Court defence and prosecution work, including drugs offences, rape, other sexual offences, firearms offences, robbery, burglary, other offences of dishonesty, public disorder and serious assaults including domestic violence. Denise specialises in cases concerning anti-social behaviour orders, particularly defending applications for such orders. She both prosecutes and defends road traffic cases in which 'technical' defences are advanced.
Lecture experience:
Denise regularly lectures on anti-social behaviour orders to law societies and firms of solicitors.
Between 2002 and 2004, she also lectured on the Part II criminal litigation ILEX course.
