One of the Pakistan students detained in the 'terror raids' of April 2009. Bail was refused by SIAC (Special Immigration Appeals Commission) sitting in the Royal Courts of Justice on May 12th 2009 purely on the basis of the closed evidence which was not before the Appellant or his representatives and thus without a shred of evidence that could justify his continuing detention under immigration powers. The appeal process could last 18 months.
