A young gay Iranian, whose appeal was heard in the Court of Appeal. Further to this Court's judgment in J (Iran), that it may be persecutory to expect appellants to tolerate an unreasonable amount of "discretion". XY was dismissed largely by reference to the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal case of HJ (who was the appellant in J) - Mr HJ now has permission to appeal to the Court of Appeal once again.
